Drug activity at a home results in two Middlesboro arrests

Just after 6pm on Wednesday evening January 9, 2019 Middlesboro Police officers lead by Chris Barnes responded to several complaints of high traffic and drug activity at a residence at Westside Trailer Park.


Officer Chris Barnes states in his citation that once on scene and making contact at the front door of the home, he smelled a strong odor of Marijuana coming from inside the residence. There were also distribution baggies laying in plain view.

As the officers entered the resident a set of scales and more distribution baggies were found on the kitchen counter. The officers then made their way to the back bedroom of the home were two individuals had come from identified as 52 year old Lisa L Prater and 46 year old Larry D Wilson, both of Middlesboro.


Officer Barnes also reports that he walked over to the bed and laying halfway out under a pillow was a baggie containing a crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine.

Both Wilson and Prater were arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.


Larry Wilson was charged with trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense greater than 2 grams – Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia advertisement.


Lisa Prater was charged with trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense less than 2 grams – Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia advertisement, and she was served two pay or stay warrants.
