Drug complaint nets two arrests in Knox County Ky

From The Knox County Ky Sheriff's Department -

On Friday, November 22, 2019 Knox County Deputies Mikey Ashurst and Bobby Jones responded to a residence on Four Mile Hollow Road in Bryants Store after receiving complaints of drug activity.


While making contact with the owner, Deputy Ashurst detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the residence. During the investigation deputies located a clear plastic bag containing suspected crystal methamphetamine, several small pink plastic bags, syringes and a set of digital scales. Deputies also located an indoor grow operation containing 10 marijuana plants and a shotgun.


Denny R King age 52 of Bryants Store, KY was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Cultivating Marijuana-over 5 plants.


A female present at the residence, 22 year old Brittany Cox also of Bryants Store, KY, was also arrested on a Knox County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for a Parole Violation.


Denny King and Brittany Cox were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

Barbourville City Officer Carl Middleton assisted in the arrests.
