Drugs, cash, and guns found at the home of a Dewitt man
From The Knox County Ky Sheriff's Department -
On Thursday August 22, 2019 Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith along with several deputies conducted a search at the residence of Earnie Hammons on Hale Fork Road in Dewitt.
During the investigation numerous Oxycodone tablets, Hydrocodone tablets, Xanxa tablets. Gabapentin tablets, Suboxone tablets and strips, approximately one pound of Marijuana, an AK-47 assault rifle, a handgun and over $29,000 in US currency were located and seized.
Earnie Hammons age 53 of Dewitt, KY was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree, Trafficking in Controlled Substance-2nd Degree, Trafficking in Controlled Substance-3rd Degree, Trafficking in Marijuana-under 5 pounds, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Earnie Hammons was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
