From Laurel County Sheriff John Root -
Sheriff's deputies arrested 39 year old Steve A. Eaton age of Corbin Friday night August 30, 2019 at approximately 11:39 PM at apartments off Felts School Road, south of London.
This was after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a subject allegedly intoxicated driving a Walmart motorized cart near apartments there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies found Eaton on the Walmart cart and conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence. In addition, following further investigation deputies determined that Eaton had allegedly taken a total of 10 pushcarts--- five from Walmart, three from Kroger, and two from the Dollar Tree.
Steve A. Eaton was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place; theft by unlawful taking and charged on a Knox District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place and contempt of court. He was lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
