From the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department -
On Wednesday morning at 7:07am, April 20, 2022, Bell Dispatch paged out the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department to a report truck on fire in the Fourmile Area, on Evans Coal Mine Road.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and prevented the fire from continuing into the woodlands. The truck was a commercial Uhaul. There were no contents inside the van box and the vehicle was a total loss.
Captain Ben Napier was the Officer-In-Charge. Because of the rough terrain and location of the call, firefighters Joshua Holland and Wade Rogers were the only others responding units.
Sheriff Deputy Marti Messer handled the investigation for the Bell County Sheriff’s Department and Wagner Towing removed the Uhaul from the scene.
