Emergency road funds available

From The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet

Emergency road aid funds awarded to Knox County Fiscal Court for a slide repair on Hammons Fork Road.


The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today announced that the Knox County Fiscal Court will receive $21,870 in County Road Aid emergency funds.


These funds will be used for a slide repair on Hammons Fork Road (CR 1051) located 0.050 miles east of Horn Branch Road (milepoint 5.300), making it safer for cars, school buses and other vehicles that rely upon this highway.


“The Bevin administration is committed to the Cabinet’s mission of providing a safe, reliable transportation network for all Kentuckians,” said Transportation Secretary Greg Thomas. “These emergency funds will help local governments repair and restore damaged infrastructure throughout their communities.”


The Knox County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work.

Emergency road aid funds awarded to Leslie County Fiscal Court for a drainage structure on Hawk Drive.


The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today announced that the Leslie County Fiscal Court will receive $52,680 in County Road Aid emergency funds. These funds will be used for a drainage structure on Hawk Drive (CR 1432) located 0.025 miles south of CR1020/Wooten Road (milepoint 0.025), making it safer for cars, school buses and other vehicles that rely upon this highway. The Leslie County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work.

Emergency road aid funds awarded to Clay County Fiscal Court for a slide repair on Cold Creek Road.


The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today announced that the Clay County Fiscal Court will receive $17,710 in County Road Aid emergency funds. These funds will be used for a slide repair on Cold Creek Road (CR 1291) located 0.040 miles north of Urban Creek Road (milepoint 0.040), making it safer for cars, school buses and other vehicles that rely upon this highway. The Clay County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work.
