Ex-Middlesboro Firefighter Facing Child Porn Charges Wants Evidence Tossed

From WLEX -

The attorney for a former Middlesboro firefighter accused on federal child pornography charges is seeking to have evidence against his client tossed out.

Police investigated 34-year-old Robert Christopher England after a child reported that he had exposed himself in a Walmart bathroom.

After questioning by police, England’s co-workers reported that he appeared to be deleting items from his work computer.

Police got permission from the mayor and fire chief, who also is England’s father, to examine the computer, on which they allegedly found images of child pornography.

In a motion filed Friday, England’s attorney argues that evidence should be thrown out because his client never consented to police examining the computer.

A judge now will decide whether the evidence stays or goes.
