Flat Lick Man Arrested After Burglary Investigation at a Knox County School

On Friday, January 16, Knox County School Resource Officer Elijah Broughton arrested a wanted Flat Lick man in connection to a burglary of a building at Dewitt School.
27-year-old Anthony Mills was taken into custody near the 1600 block of KY 223 in Scalf after the burglary investigation by SRO Broughton and Deputy David Dunn. It was determined he was seen on cameras breaking out a window and entering a storage building at the school on December 26, 2025, at approximately 2:30 am.
Taken in the incident were several Google Chromebooks belonging to the school, along with cases of pop and boxes of chips.
Mills was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center charged with Burglary – 3rd degree, Criminal mischief – 2nd degree, and Theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 but under $10,000.
He was also served an outstanding warrant taken out by Deputy Dunn for Criminal mischief – 2nd degree, Theft by unlawful taking, Assault – 4th degree, and Wanton endangerment – 1st degree.
During his arrest, the driver of the vehicle, Mills’ girlfriend, Selena Mills, was also arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license and no registration.
