Four arrested with meth by Laurel Sheriff's Office


Laurel County Sheriff John Root along with Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Bryon Lawson, Detective James Sizemore, Detective Kyle Gray, Detective John Wright, Capt. Kevin Berry, Sgt. Greg Poynter, Deputy Allen Turner, Deputy Joey Robinson, Deputy Taylor McDaniel, Deputy Jake Miller and his K-9 “Gotcha” arrested four individuals off West Laurel Rd., approximately 6 miles west of London on Monday night January 14, 2019 at approximately 8:28 PM.


The arrests occurred following a drug investigation conducted by the Laurel County Sheriff’s office and a search warrant was executed at Lena Venise Cornett’s residence and four individuals were located in the residence and in vehicles located at the residence there along with methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia including a glass pipe, a large sum of US currency.


Also a 13-year-old male juvenile resides at the residence – social services was called to the scene. The arrested individuals were identified as: • the resident of the home searched – Lena Venise Cornett age 50 of West Laurel Rd., London charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; endangering the welfare of a minor.

• Natosha Inman age 30 of Loveless Ln., Somerset charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.

• Joe Ann Tipton age 45 of Laurel Lake Rd., North, Keavy charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.

• Benjamin David Wilson age 30 of Upper Indian Camp Rd., Keavy charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia.

All four individuals were lodged in the Laurel County detention center. Laurel County Sheriff John Root stated that drug investigations will be continuing .
