Harlan County Man Arrested on Sexual Offense

On Saturday, October 31^st, the Harlan County Sheriff’s Department executed a complaint warrant for 36-year-old Steven Allen Cottrell of Wallins Creek at his residence on Terry’s Fork Road. 

According to the warrant, Harlan County Deputy Geary Ferguson states that from October 17^th through October 19^th of this year, Cottrell allegedly “unlawfully and knowingly used electronic communication devices to procure or promote a minor to engage in unlawful sexual activities.”

Steven Cottrell was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center, charged with procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means.
