From The Harlan County Sheriff's Office -
(Harlan, Ky.) – On Tuesday July 13, 2021 Deputies with the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Wallins area.
It was determined that the operator of the vehicle did not have a valid license and had active Arrest Warrants. 47-year-old Sim York of Baxter was arrested on a Kentucky Parole Board Parole Violation Warrant and a Harlan County Circuit Court Indictment Warrant for Receiving Stolen Property (Under $10,000) and Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree.
Through further investigation, Deputies located bags containing Methamphetamine and Suboxone. York was additionally charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center with no bond set.

On Friday July 9, 2021 Deputies arrested three individuals in the Dayhoit area.
Frankie Bright, 58, of Baxter was arrested on a Harlan County Circuit Court Indictment Warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and other traffic related offenses.
He was also served with five Harlan County District Court Bench Warrants for Failure to Appear.
Angelia Johnson, 36, of Baxter was arrested on a Harlan County Circuit Court Indictment Warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was also served with three Harlan County District Court Bench Warrants for Non Payment of Fines and one Harlan County District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear.
Ronald Jenkins, 49, of Dayhoit was arrested on a Harlan County Circuit Court Indictment Warrant for Flagrant Non Support. He was also served with a Harlan County Circuit Court Child Support Warrant.
Donald Buell, 50, of Wallins was arrested in Tremont on a Harlan County District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Drug Trafficking and other traffic related offenses.
All subjects were lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
