Harlan drug raid nets four

From The Harlan County Sheriff's Department -

On Monday August 12, 2019 the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at the residence of Amos Thomas on KY 38 in Holmes Mill.


The search warrant was a result of an investigation being conducted by the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office.



Amos Thomas, 37, of Holmes Mill was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


Aaron Thomas, 36, of Holmes Mill was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine).


Two additional arrest warrants obtained by the Sheriff’s Office were also served on Monday. The arrests were a result of an investigation conducted by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives and Appalachian Narcotics Investigations.


Leanna Taylor, 28, of Wallins was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine).


Donald Buell. 48, of Wallins was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine). He was also served a Harlan County District Court Bench Warrant.

All subjects were lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.


The cases remain under investigation by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives and Appalachian Narcotics Investigation.
