From The Harlan County Sheriff's Office -
(Harlan, Ky.) – On Wednesday January 27th at approximately 12:38 AM, Deputies with the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible domestic complaint in the Coalgood area.
Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with 23 year old Denver Shackleford outside the residence. Deputies also made contact with the caller inside the residence. The caller stated that Shackleford had shoved her and pinned her against the wall and attempted to stab her with a knife.
Shackleford was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Assault 4th Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center with bond set at $2,000 full cash.
The case remains under investigation by the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene by Kentucky State Police.
