Harlan Woman Arrested For Trafficking in Knox County, Ky.

From The Knox County Ky Sheriff's Department -

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, at approximately 11:15 pm, Knox County Deputy Thomas Martin observed a vehicle with a missing taillight traveling on Morningside Drive in Barbourville.
After conducting a traffic stop, Deputy Martin also observed several empty plastic baggies in the front seat. The vehicle was occupied by 34-year-old Kayla Middleton of Evarts, Ky., and a female passenger. Deputy Martin called Deputy Bethany Hensley to his location to search the occupants.
Deputy Hensley located a plastic baggie containing suspected Fentanyl, a plastic baggie containing suspected Methamphetamine, and a syringe hidden underneath the clothing of the passenger.
Kayla Middleton was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
