Home visit by probation and parole nets arrest of Wallins Creek man for drugs and guns

From the Harlan County Sheriff's Office -

On Thursday morning, July 23rd Deputies assisted Probation and Parole on a home visit at a residence in the Wallins area. Complaints had been received on an individual living at the residence that was on Probation.

Three weapons, Fentanyl patches and drug paraphernalia were located at the residence. 55 year old Ramon “Fidel” Morales of Wallins Creek was arrested and charged with two Counts of Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Controlled Substance - 1st Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Morales is a convicted felon and is currently on Probation for 5 Drug Trafficking Charges. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center with no bond set.


The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
