House Fire Claims The Life of Individual From Chenoa Kentucky

On the evening of Monday, December 15th, 2025, at approximately 10:28 pm, Frakes Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jason Partin received a call from a Chenoa resident stating that there was a structure fire at a residence about a half mile from KY Hwy 190 on KY Hwy 3485. The caller stated that all of the residents vehicles were home and the house was fully involved.Â
Chief Partin immediately notified Bell County Dispatch and Frakes Fire units were paged to the scene. Upon arrival by the first due apparatus, firefighters witnessed the house fully involved. While connecting water supply, propane tanks began to explode behind the residence.Â
Department members then began to attack the structure. During the fire suppresion, department members became aware that the resident of the home was very likely to still be inside the structure. The attack became more intense to find a route to recover the resident. During this time, a KSP Detective and the Bell County Coronors Office was summoned to the scene.Â
At approximately 1:30am, Deputy Coronor Jason Steele arrived on scene. As Deputy Coronor Steele arrived, the resident was located inside the structure by firefighters preforming overhaul on the scene. Deputy Coronor Steele then pronounced the victim deceased.Â
The name of the victim is not being released until the investigation by the State's Medical Examiner's office is complete. At approximately 4:40am, Kentucky State Police Detective Jonathan Ledford arrived on scene. Detective Ledford, Deputy Coronor Jason Steele and Kentucky State Medical Examiner's Office are in charge of the investigation.
Also assisting at the scene was Bell County Volunteer Fire Department members and Bell County Sheriff's Department.
