Jacksboro, Tennessee Officer Arrested In Claiborne County

A former Claiborne County deputy and (now former) Jacksboro assistant police chief is in jail after a recent incident.
Claiborne County Jail booking records show that early Saturday morning, July 5th, Kris M. Gulliver was charged with reckless endangerment, carrying a weapon while under the influence, and a suicide attempt.
We understand that Gulliver discharged a firearm multiple times in the vicinity of his neighbors during a heated confrontation with them.
Two Jacksboro officers have since collected Gulliver's badge, department-issued firearm, and keys to his cruiser. We understand he has been relieved of duty.
We are working to find out more about the incident that led to Gulliver's arrest.
