From WRIL -
JailTracker sites across Kentucky are having issues. WRIL spoke to the company this morning and it is not a local issue. JailTracker has been hit by companies using software to pull mass arrest records from their site in order to illegally charge people to have mugshots removed.
Due to this action, JailTracker has banned these sites from using their information that way and are now installing CAPTCHA logins to stop it from happening. This will not affect the public from logging into the website, just companies trying to use the arrest information improperly.
While JailTracker implements these new measures, the site may be extremely slow or not load at all. The company tells WRIL that the measures should be up and running within the week.
