Joint Law Enforcement Investigations Result in Two Arrests in Middlesboro

(Middlesboro, Ky.) On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Middlesboro Police and Bell County Sheriff’s Department worked to apprehend two individuals in separate cases.


In the first case - law enforcement, led by MPD Detective Barry Cowan and BCSO Detective Hunter Luttrell, apprehended 33-year-old Dominic Lester of Middlesboro. After an investigation determined that Lester had been conducting drug trafficking operations, he was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (less than 4 grams Cocaine) and Trafficking in Controlled Substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (greater than or equal to 10 dosage units – Opiates).


In the second incident - arrested was 31-year-old Jessie Miracle of Middlesboro charged with Sodomy – 1st degree (victim under the age of 12 years) and Sodomy – 2nd degree. The investigation revealed the incidents took place when the female victim was a child. Both Dominic Lester and Jessie Miracle were lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.


Assisting was the Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force and US Marshal Service.
