Juvenile charged with making school threats

From Kentucky State Police -

On Tuesday April 23, 2019 Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a complaint that a male juvenile was making threats to shoot other children at Lynn Camp High School. The caller was a concerned parent.


Trooper Drew Wilson was dispatched to the caller’s residence and interviewed both the caller and her juvenile daughter who is a student at Lynn Camp High School.


Through Tpr. Wilsons investigation, it was determined a 14 year old male student had made several threats to harm multiple students. Trooper Wilson located, interviewed and subsequently arrested the 14 year old student, who admitted to the threats.


The juvenile was charged with terroristic threatening 2nd degree and lodged in the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center.


Case is still under investigation by Tpr. Drew Wilson. Also assisted Tpr. Wilson were Sergeant Jason York, Tpr. Josh Cox, and the Knox County Sheriff Department.
