From Kentucky State Police Post 10 -
On August 3, 2022 Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a 911 call at 10:50 p.m. of shots fired on Babs Arbor in Cumberland, Kentucky.
Cumberland Police Department and KSP troopers responded to the scene and located 36-year-old Brandon Saylor, shot one time in the back. Deputy Coroner Jim Rich was dispatched to the scene and pronounced Mr. Saylor deceased.
Detectives from Post 10 were requested and dispatched to the scene. Troopers canvased the area for witnesses and evidence. From the evidence collected, Detectives were able to arrest and charge 50-year-old Mark Bowling and 31-year-old Dylan Blair both with murder. Both are lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
The case is still under investigation by Det. Rodney Sturgill.
