Knox County Ky. deputy conducts traffic stop resulting in heroin charge

On February 25, 2023, Knox County Deputy Jesse Smith conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Sears Lane in Gray. During the stop, Deputy Smith located a plastic bag containing suspected heroin, a glass “meth” pipe, a loaded handgun and over $3000 in cash.


Deputy Smith also located a rock like substance that the accused stated he was on his way to sell it to a person as methamphetamine.


Deputy Smith arrested 44-year-old Keith Bishop of London, KY charging him with Possession Controlled Substance-1st Degree (Heroin), Possession FOR Sale/Transfer Simulated Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


Keith Bishop was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
