On July 9, 2023 SGT Bobby Jones arrested Timothy Lee Roark age 35 of Barbourville, KY on a Fayette County Bench Warrant for a Probation Violation charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On July 10, 2023 deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence complaint at a residence on Powers Branch Road in Bryants Store. As the deputies approached the residence, they observed a male subject walking on the side of the roadway. One of the deputies checked the man and the other deputy continued on to the residence. After checking the male, the deputy learned that he was wanted on a Whitley County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on a No Insurance charge. After conducting an investigation at the residence, the same man, Jeremy Sandlin age 29 of Bryants Store, KY had assaulted the female at the residence. During the arrest, a small amount of suspected Heroin was found in his possession. In addition to the warrant, Jeremy Sandlin was charged with Assault-4th Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree, Public Intoxication Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On July 10, 2023 at approximately 11:35 pm Deputy Jesse Smith received a complaint that a 17 year old female had walked away from a foster home on KY 11 in Barbourville. The caller also advised that the juvenile had been picked up and was in a vehicle traveling toward Barbourville. Deputy Smith located the vehicle traveling on South Main Street in Barbourville. After conducting an investigation, Deputy Smith arrested the driver, Travis J Williams age 40 of Stanville, KY. charging him with Custodial Interference. A female passenger inside the vehicle, Sebrina Stratton age 39 of Betsy Layne, KY, was also arrested and charged with Custodial Interference. She was also wanted on a Pike County Bench Warrant for a Contempt of Court charge and a Fayette County Bench Warrant for a Contempt of Court charge. They were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. The juvenile was released to DCBS.
On July 12, 2023 Court Security Officer James Smith arrested Joshua H Jones age 19 of Corbin, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on No Registration Plates or Receipt, No Insurance and One Headlight charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On July 13, 2023 SGT Bobby Jones arrested Bridget R Crabtree age 25 of Rockholds, KY on a Tennessee Fugitive Warrant. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On July 14, 2023 Court Security Officer James Smith arrested Owen L Garlen age 44 of Corbin, KY on a Fayette County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on a Violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On July 17, 2023 LT Sam Mullins received a complaint of a stolen handgun from a residence on Stewart Cemetery Road in Artemus. After conducting an investigation, LT Mullins arrested Cody Brooks age 30 of Artemus, KY charging him with Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition-Firearm. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On July 17, 2023 Court Security Officer James Smith arrested Kevin Taylor age 41 of Flat Lick, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Assault-4th Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On July 17, 2023 deputies traveled to the residence of Nathan Mills age 46 of Flat Lick , KY to execute a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fine on a Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition- over $500 charge. He was also wanted on a Bell County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on a Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition- Cold Checks. During the arrest two marijuana plants were observed growing in buckets and a small bag containing suspected marijuana was found on his person. Nathan Mills was then charged with Cultivating Hemp-under 5 plants and Possession of Marijuana. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On July 20, 2023 deputies arrested Eric T Mills age 29 of Bimble, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for a Drug Court Violation charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On July 21, 2023 LT Sam Mullins arrested Raymond K Jenkins age 61 of Lexington, KY on a Fayette County Arrest Warrant for Falsely Reporting an Incident. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On July 24, 2023 deputies arrested Michael S MacNevin age 51 of Trosper, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Terroristic Threatening-3rd Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
