From the Laurel County Sheriff's Department -
Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Allen Turner along with Sgt. Greg Poynter, Detective Bryon Lawson, Deputy Joey Robinson, and Deputy Brent France arrested Joshua A. Stopher age 38 of Corbin on Friday afternoon August 16, 2019 at approximately 4:40 PM.
The arrest occurred off US 25 approximately 6 miles South of London after deputies charged this individual on a Laurel Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging manslaughter – second-degree;
assault – second-degree;
operating a motor vehicle under the influence; operating on a suspended or revoked operator's license;
failure of non owner operator to maintain required insurance;
and persistent felony offender II.
Stopher was lodged in the Laurel County correctional center.
