Meth, Heroin, and a Harley

Middlesboro Sgt. Barry Cowan arrested a man on drug charges late Monday afternoon.


Just before 5pm Sgt. Cowan received information that a white male on a Harley Davidson motorcycle was in Middlesboro transporting Methamphetamine and Heroin.


The sergeant was told the man, later identified as 35 year old Martin Lynn Bolden of New Tazewell, would be between 41st and 42nd streets.


Cowan states in his citation that he drove to the area and observed Bolden next to the motorcycle in a driveway. The sergeant then exited his patrol car, introducing himself, and approached the man confronting him about the allegations. After speaking to Bolden, Cowan asked for consent to search and it was granted. Bolden told the sergeant that he had hidden some Methamphetamine in his coat pocket.


During the search Sgt. Cowan discovered a baggy of a clear crystal substance believed to be Methamphetamine and a baggy of a substance believed to be Heroin.


Martin Lynn Bolden was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense – Methamphetamine, and possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense – Heroin.
