Middlesboro man arrested for assault involving injuring three people

Early Friday October 4, 2019 at 12:39am Middlesboro Police received a call in regard to a stabbing at a residence on Winchester Avenue.


Responding were Officers Dakota Torstrick, Jeremiah Johnson, and Kenny Vanover. Once on scene the officers discovered that 26-year-old Danny Lenz II had stabbed two individuals identified as Shane Collins and Harold Hatcher Jr.


Collins had been cut by Lenz on the left arm and hand. Hatcher Jr. was cut by Lenz with a knife, also on the left arm. It was also discovered that Lenz had pushed down Melissa Raines causing minor injury to both legs.


Danny Lenz was arrested on scene and transported to the Bell County Sheriff’s Department charged with assault – 2nd degree and assault 4th degree (domestic violence) minor injury.

He is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.
