From WRIL -
On Wednesday September 30, 2020 Middlesboro Officer Jeremiah Johnson arrested a Middlesboro man wanted as a fugitive out of Arkansas.
34 year old Joshua Aaron Collins was taken into custody just after 4pm and served warrants out of Nevada County Arkansas for theft of property valued at $25,000 and breaking and entering.
Collins was also served three outstanding bench warrants from Bell County in regard to a previous theft case in Middlesboro in 2015. At the time, Collins had been working at Dream Furniture and was stealing furniture and mattresses from the business valued at over $30,000. His wife Ashley was also arrested for setting up the sale and delivery of the items to other people by Joshua.
They were both sentenced to supervised probation and were ordered to pay restitution being told by the court that if they break the terms of that probation, or the amount is defaulted on, their prison sentence of 5 years would be activated.
One of Joshua Collins warrants states that there is over $10,000 still not paid on the restitution.
He is being held without bond awaiting extradition to Arkansas.
