Middlesboro man jailed after threatening to kill a woman and trafficking drugs

From WRIL - The Big One -

Harvey Gollahan - BCDC

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, a woman came to police headquarters to report that 43-year-old Harvey Gollahan violated an EPO. According to the citation from Middlesboro Officer Saylor, she went on to state that Gollahan showed up at her south 34th street address and rammed her vehicle parked in front of the residence with his Jeep.

The victim also told police that when she came out of the home, Gollahan said he would kill her and that he had a gun tucked into his waistband.

Having prior knowledge of where he was staying, Officer Saylor drove to the residence finding Gollahan's Jeep. Gollahan then exited the vehicle and tossed the handgun into the passenger side floorboard.

Once in custody, Gollahan was asked if there was anything else illegal inside the Jeep and he replied no. After consent to search the vehicle was asked and given, Officer Saylor found a silver cylinder with several baggies and a crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine inside.

On the way to police headquarters for processing, Gollahan retrieved a bag of drugs from his pants and began consuming the contents. EMS was then contacted and he was taken to Middlesboro ARH Hospital for treatment. Once at the hospital, more drugs were found in his groin area and a body cavity.

Harvey Gollahan was then booked into the Bell County Detention Center charged with violation of a Kentucky EPO, trafficking in controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense - greater than 2 grams (Methamphetamine), criminal mischief - 1st degree, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, and menacing.
