As we stated in an earlier report, Middlesboro Police began a death investigation after a call of an unresponsive man found in the roadway on 15th Street early Saturday morning April 27th.
The individual was identified by the Bell County Coroner's Office as 45-year-old John Robert Fuston of the Straight Creek community in Pineville. His body was sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.
In charge of the investigation was Lt./Detective Barry Cowan who Saturday evening arrested a Pineville man, 45-year-old Cleston Miracle, for his role in the death of Fuston.
Miracle is lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance with death or serious physical injury, no operators license, and failure to maintain insurance.
More charges are pending in this ongoing investigation.
