Middlesboro Police Working An Early Morning Death Investigation - Victim Identified

Early Saturday morning April 27th Middlesboro Police responded to a call of an unresponsive man found along the roadway on 15th Street.


Once on scene officers, led by Lt./Detective Barry Cowan found an individual deceased on scene. The Bell County Deputy Coroner Steve Robinson was called to the location pronouncing the man dead with Coroner Jay Steele assisting at Middlesboro ARH Hospital.


Bell County Coroner Jay Steele, with confirmation from family, has tells WRIL that the man is 45-year-old John Robert Fuston of the Straight Creek community in Pineville. His body has been sent to Frankfort for an autopsy. Lt. Cowan is in charge of the investigation.


The cause of death has yet to be released.
