Morristown Police Department investigators have charged a North Carolina man with 2nd Degree Murder following an investigation into the death of a man at Econo Lodge in west Morristown yesterday.
Police were first notified at approximately 6:00 pm of a disturbance and a medical call at the hotel. The victim, identified as 42 year old Thomas Frederick Taylor, Jr., was dead at the scene.
38 year old Jacob Thomas Marzullo, of Maggie Valley North Carolina has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
Investigators believe that the death occurred as a result of a physical confrontation between the men after Marzullo travelled to Morristown to confront the victim about stealing his property in North Carolina.
Marzullo is currently incarcerated in the Hamblen County Jail without bond.
