Nurse Practitioner Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges Out of Middlesboro

Angel Henderson - WCDC

Angel Henderson of Corbin, Kentucky, was arrested last night and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center after being served with a warrant originating out of Bell County.

Henderson is charged with Engaging in Organized Crime and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, First Degree.

Lt. Barry Cowan of the Middlesboro Police Department reported that charges were pursued following an investigation in which he revealed that Henderson allegedly used her prescription authority to unlawfully distribute controlled substances.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are anticipated. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
