Parole violation arrest of Pineville man in London, Kentucky

Charles Elmer Brummett - LCC

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Joey Robinson along with K-9 Deputy Jake Miller arrested 43 year old Charles Elmer Brummett of Pineville, KY on Monday morning December 2, 2019 at approximately 11:38 AM on Hal Rogers Parkway approximately 5 miles east of London. This was following a traffic stop conducted on a blue Volkswagen Jetta where the driver was not wearing a seat belt.


During the stop it was learned that Brummett was wanted on a parole violation warrant. He was found in possession of a hypodermic needle during the arrest.


Brummett was charged with failure to wear seat belts; possession of drug paraphernalia; obstructed wind shield; no brake lights. In addition, he was charged on a Kentucky parole board parole violation warrant charging absconding parole supervision; failure to complete treatment for substance abuse; failure to report to parole officer as directed regarding a conviction in Bell Circuit Court on charges of burglary – second-degree; three counts of criminal possession of forged instrument second-degree.


He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
