From The Middlesboro Police Department -

Wednesday, October 15, 2025, Middlesboro Lt. Barry Cowan conducted a traffic stop that led to the arrest of a local woman on Methamphetamine trafficking charges.

The citation stated that during the stop, Lt. Cowan located several grams of Methamphetamine concealed on the passenger, identified as 22-year-old Sarah Green, of Middlesboro.

In addition to the Methamphetamine, Lt. Cowan recovered numerous small plastic baggies commonly used by drug traffickers to package drugs for resale. The empty bags matched the same type used to package the Methamphetamine found on Green.

Also discovered next to the passenger seat were digital scales which Green admitted belonged to her. More than $500 in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking, was seized from Green’s person.

Sarah Green was arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center, charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

The operator of the vehicle was cited for several traffic violations in connection with the stop.

The Middlesboro Police Department remains committed to keeping illegal drugs out of our community and holding traffickers accountable.
