From WRIL -
On Monday, June 27, 2022, a man already indicted for sexual offenses against children was handed a superseding indictment which garnered several other charges involving a juvenile member of his family.
On Saturday February 17, 2018, the Bell County Sheriff’s Department (Deputy Patrick Brooks) arrested then 68-year-old Arnold Fuson for incident allegedly taking place from June of 2016 to December of 2017.
At the time, Fuson was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond charged with one count of sexual abuse 1st degree and sodomy – 1st degree, but had it reduced to $100,000 property bond on March 14, 2018. He was released and placed on 24/7 home incarceration to have no contact or communication with the victim.
Fuson has had multiple court appearances, changing representation several times, but never making it to trial.
Now Fuson is facing the following charges which include additional incidents alleged to have taken place in January of 2018:
(4) four counts of Sexual Abuse – 1st degree;
(2) two counts of Sodomy – 1st degree;
(2) two counts of Unlawful Transaction with a Minor – 3rd degree;
(1) one count of Rape – 1st degree.
Fuson was permitted to remain free, but under the same restrictions of the initial bond. Commonwealth Attorney Lisa Fugate tells WRIL that Arnold Fuson is set for a final pretrial conference court hearing on July 20th at 1:30pm. His jury trial is set for Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 9:00am. Representing Fuson are Attorney's Otis Doan and David Hoskins.
