Pineville Man Jailed on a Sexual Abuse Charge Involving a Juvenile

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Post 10 Dispatch was contacted by Child Protective Services regarding a referral received from a mental health facility in Pineville, KY. The referral detailed allegations involving a juvenile victim.
The investigation, led by KSP Trooper Abner, alleges that 56-year-old Clark Burnett of Pineville is responsible for sexual behavior involving a female victim since the age of 12.
On Wednesday May 6, 2026, the trooper made contact with Burnett at his Pineville residence. During questioning, Burnett initially denied knowing the reason for the contact and claimed he never said or did anything to make the victim feel uncomfortable. He additionally denied the sexual contact.
Following the investigation and forensic interview, an arrest warrant was signed on Friday May 8, 2026. Clark Burnett was arrested at his place of employment in Flat Lick, KY., and taken into custody without incident. He was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with Sexual Abuse - 1st degree. He is being held on a $250,000 cash bond.
