From Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith -
On Monday, August 12, 2019 Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith along with other deputies arrested nine individuals for trafficking in controlled substances. These arrests were the result of an undercover drug investigations conducted by Knox County Deputies.
The following individuals were arrested and lodged in the Knox, Laurel and Whitley County Detention Center:
Jones, Billy W age 54 of Corbin, KY charged with Trafficking in
Controlled Substance-1st Degree (Oxycodone)
Jones, John Thomas age 28 of Corbin, KY charged with Trafficking in
Controlled Substance-1st Degree (methamphetamine)
Jones, Mary K age 39 of Corbin, KY charged with Trafficking in
Controlled Substance-1st Degree (methamphetamine)
Ledford, Heather A age 37 of Keavy, KY charged with Trafficking in
Controlled Substance-1st Degree (Oxycodone)
Salyer, Nancy Ann age 34 of Rockholds, KY charged with Trafficking in
Controlled Substance-1st Degree (Oxycodone)
Tucker, William Rouse III age 27 of Cannon, KY charged with
Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree (methamphetamine)
Garland, Joshua age 32 of Flat Lick, KY charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree. (Oxycodone)
Garland, Samantha age 58 of Trosper, KY 2019 charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree. (Oxycodone)
Moore, Reva age 51 of London, KY Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree.(Oxycodone)
The following individuals are part of this undercover investigation but were arrested on their respective dates:
Roark, Paula Ann age 58 of Flat Lick, KY charged on March 16, 2019
with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-2nd Degree, Trafficking in Controlled Substance-3rd Degree and Prescription Controlled Substance not in Original Container.
Moore, Wendell L age 50 of Woodbine, KY charged on May 24, 2019
with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree and Trafficking in Controlled Substance Within 1,000 Feet of School.
These arrests are part of Sheriff Mike Smith’s continued crackdown on illegal drug trafficking in Knox County. Operation UNITE assisted in the investigation. As a result of this undercover investigation, more arrests are forthcoming.
