Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Gary Meher along with Deputy Charlie Johnson arrested Michael A. Phipps age 56 of Corbin early Sunday morning August 11, 2019 at approximately 12:34 AM.
The arrest occurred at a business parking lot approximately 1 mile north of London after deputies were dispatched to investigate a complaint that a female pizza delivery driver had allegedly been sexually assaulted.
Deputies responded to the pizza company in London and made contact with the female victim who stated that during a pizza delivery that a male subject had allegedly inappropriately touched her without her consent.
Deputies located a suspect there at the business and conducted an investigation and arrested Michael A. Phipps charging him with sexual abuse – third-degree.
