From The News Journal -

The Whitley County Grand Jury handed down three separate sexual related indictments Monday, including indictments charging two men with incest.

The grand jury indicted Matthew Salyer, 31, address unknown, charging him with first-degree rape and first-degree incest. Both counts of the indictment alleged that the crimes were committed between Jan. 1, 2018, and Dec. 31, 2018.

The indictment alleged that Salyer engaged in sexual intercourse with a female relative, who was six years of age. Both counts of the indictment identify the victim with the same two initials.

The grand jury also indicted Joshua Risner, 41, of Gray, charging him with two counts of first-degree sodomy and two counts of first-degree incest. The alleged crimes took place between April 24, 2010, and April 23, 2015. The sodomy counts alleged that Risner performed oral intercourse on the minor child, who was under the age of 12 at the time, and that he caused the minor child to perform oral intercourse on him.

All four counts of the indictment involve the same victim, confirmed Commonwealth’s Attorney Ronnie Bowling. The alleged victim is a female relative of Risner, according to his indictment.

In addition, the grand jury indicted Thomas Hensley, 35, of Williamsburg, charging him with one count of first-degree sexual abuse.

According to his indictment, the sexual abuse allegedly occurred between Jan. 1, 2015, and Dec. 31, 2015, and involved subjecting the child, who was less than 12 years of age, to sexual contact.
