Somerset Man is Arrested After an Abuse of a Juvenile Investigation by KSP Post 11

The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 11 London arrested a Somerset man for assaulting a 2-year-old juvenile. On August 13, 2026, KSP Post 11 London received a call from Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital regarding serious injuries to an unresponsive two-year-old child. Due to the extent of those injuries, the juvenile was flown to the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital, where it remains in critical condition.
Preliminary investigation determined that Jack D. Kelsay, 22 years old of Somerset, KY, was the sole caretaker of the juvenile at the time. As a result of that investigation, Mr. Kelsay was arrested and charged with Assault -1st Degree and Criminal Abuse 1st Degree - Child Under 12. This investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Detective Keegan Bray of KSP Post 11 London.
He is lodged in the Pulaski County Jail.
