On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, Kentucky State Police Trooper Jake Middleton arrested a Sunshine man charging him with sexual abuse - 1st degree - victim under 12 year of age.
The citation states that on Tuesday, a non-custodial interview was conducted with 26-year-old Nicholas Boggs at his residence in the Sunshine Community of Harlan County. The interview was conducted as a result of a sexual abuse complaint involving juvenile family members of Boggs being the victims which were under 12 years of age at the time.
During the interview, Boggs "disclosed that he has subjected the juveniles to sexual contact at his residence" while they were in his care during the summer months of 2020.
Boggs was transported from his residence and lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
He is being held on a full cash bond of $25,000.
