Tenn traffic stop on a Middlesboro man lead to drug and firearm charges for a "large amount" of meth

On September 30th, 2019 Detective Eddie Hurley conducted a traffic stop on Davis Drive in New Tazewell Tennessee on a Mitsubishi Eclipse. The driver, identified as 33 year old Jeremy Bunch of Middlesboro, was operating the motor vehicle with a Revoked Tennessee Driver’s License.


A tow truck was called to tow the vehicle, and during the inventory process narcotics were located which led to a subsequent search of the vehicle. During the search, Detectives located a large quantity of methamphetamine along with a firearm which was recovered from a hidden compartment, also known as a trap.


Prior to the finding, Kristy Cooper “Kristy Money”, left the scene on foot and was not located that evening.


Jeremy Bunch was charged with Financial Responsibility Compliance, Driving while revoked, Driving while in Possession of Meth, Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Firearm during Dangerous Felony, with more pending.


According to Claiborne County Jail records, Kristy Money was taken into custody early Wednesday morning October 2, 2019. She was charged with possession of Methamphetamine.
