Three families displaced after early morning apartment complex fire in Middlesboro, Ky.

At approximately 3:45am Friday morning December 16, 2022, Middlesboro Fire Department responded to a call of a fire at Queensbury Apartments in the A building.


Flames could be seen coming from the roof of the building and several fire personnel were on scene along with EMS and Middlesboro Police.


While no injuries were reported, three families were displaced and have been assisted by the Red Cross with temporary housing. At least six units in the complex were damaged by a combination of fire, smoke, and water.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the fire department tells WRIL that the State Fire Marshal's Office has been contacted to investigate the incident. All units cleared the scene a short time after 7:00am.
