KSP UPDATE -
Wallins, KY. (February 9, 2020 – On February 9, 2020 at 6:43pm Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call of collision on U.S.119 in the Wallins community of Harlan County involving a vehicle and four wheeler. Troopers responded to the scene and began an investigation.
Highway 119 was completely shut down for approximately two hours while a KSP Reconstructionist investigated. KSP can confirm one male individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. A Harlan County Deputy did reveal to WYMT that the individual was 60 year old Jerry Johnson of Wallins.

WRIL ORIGINAL BREAKING NEWS
There has been a serious ATV accident near the Wallins community in Harlan County Kentucky. The accident happened a short time before 7:00pm Sunday night February 9, 2020.
Kentucky State Police and Harlan County Deputies responded to the scene along with several emergency service personnel. KSP is in charge of the investigation.
We have been told that the operator has died in the accident and involves a vehicle impacting the ATV. We are deferring to KSP Public Affairs Trooper Shane Jacobs for an official press release.
