From Knox County Ky Sheriff's Department -
On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith and several deputies executed a search warrant at the residence of Jerry Smith and Brittaney Hollin located on Poplar Road in the Callebs Creek area of Knox County.
During the search a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine, two (2) pill bottle containers with several schedule II controlled substance tablets inside each container, a set of digital scales, a glass “meth “ pipe, an assault rifle, two loaded handguns, and over $2200. 00 in cash were located inside the residence.
Jerry Smith age 42 of Hinkle, KY was arrested and charged with two (2) counts of Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree/methamphetamine, Trafficking in Controlled Substance-2nd Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Jerry Smith was also charged with (3) counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor as a result of the plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine being accessible to three minor children ages six (6) years, two (2) years, and two (2) months.
Brittaney Hollin age 24 of Hinkle, KY was also arrested and charged with (3) counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
Jerry Smith and Brittaney Hollin were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
DCBS was notified and responded to the residence. The children were released to a family member.
