On Monday, February 3, 2020 Knox County Deputy Sam Mullins received information of a stolen enclosed utility trailer at Lewis Recycling in Flat Lick.
The trailer was reported stolen from Virginia and was loaded with over $35,000 worth of equipment and fiber optic cable materials. The Lewis Recycling employee stalled the two men in possession of the trailer until Deputy Mullins arrived. When Deputy Mullins arrived the two men who were attempting to sell the equipment and materials at the recycling facility were still there unloading.
Deputy Mullins arrested Archie Knuckles age 39 of Flat Lick, KY and Taylor P Kovacik age 31 of Fort Meyers, FL charging them with Receiving Stolen Property over $10,000. Both men were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
