Two Middlesboro officers sworn in

Friday morning May 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM the two newest members of the Middlesboro Police Department were sworn in by Mayor Rick Nelson at the Middlesboro City Hall.


Officer Mike Orr - Mike previously served with the Middlesboro Police Department from 1982 -2003. During this time he was promoted up through the ranks from a Patrolman all the way to Lieutenant. After retiring from MPD Mike worked for 9 1/2 years as a Victim's Advocate for Commonwealth Attorney Karen Greene Blondell. Mike is a life long resident of Middlesboro.


Officer Jonathan Franklin - Jonathan has been working as a Police officer for the City of Cumberland, Ky since 2017. He graduated from the Ky Department of Criminal Justice Training in 2018. He also enjoys working as a Sports Official during his off time.
