Update - Former PCH CFO arrested

From WRIL -

Matthew Brock - BCDC

Monday March 18, 2019 Middlesboro Police Sgt. Barry Cowan and Acting Chief Tom Busic acted on a fugitive warrant issued by the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department.

The warrant was served on 30 year old Matthew Brock of Middlesboro. The former Pineville Community Hospital Chief Financial Officer and former managing partner of Paramount Matrix Healthcare was arrested at his current place of employment in Middlesboro.

On Tuesday March 19, 2019 WRIL spoke with Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Detective Bradley Duncan who told us that 30 year old Matthew Brock will face a charge of theft over $10,000. The charge is in regard to property he is accused of stealing from a house he was renting in Claiborne County.

Brock was a Paramount Matrix Healthcare managing partner, a company that was in the running to take over operations at the closed Affinity hospital in Massillon Ohio.

That deal was taken off the table when Brock was accused of fraud and embezzlement in Tennessee. According to a police report, Brock is accused of embezzling “thousands of dollars” between May 1st and July 31, 2018 from a call service center - Dream CSX - in Louisville, Tennessee, during his time of employment as chief financial officer. A company representative made the report to Alcoa Tennessee Police Detective Jeff Parsons on August 22, 2018.

We have also been notified that Tennessee Bureau of Investigations has been contacted in regard to a matter involving Brock and the former Pineville Community Hospital.

Brock is also facing a theft over $10,000 charge in Blount County, Tennessee for an arrest in 2018.
