UPDATE: man succumbs to injuries after being struck in Claiborne County, Tn.

SECOND UPDATE: We have learned that the man has died from his injuries shortly after being taken to the emergency room at Claiborne Medical Center.
He has been identified by THP as 77-year-old Roger Estes, a volunteer firefighter with the South Claiborne Fire Department. Estes had been assisting the fire department in directing traffic during an event when he was struck by Randall Weaver of New Tazewell driving a 2013 Ford F150. Weaver was not injured and charges are pending.
UPDATE: Medics with Claiborne EMS continued CPR in the ambulance and transported the injured man to Claiborne Medical Center.
A short time before 2:30pm on Monday the 4th - first responders are on scene on Highway 33 near Johnson's Mill in New Tazewell in regard to a pedestrian that has been struck by a Ford F-150 truck. CPR was being administered to the male victim in the incident, his condition is not known as of this publication. Traffic is currently delayed in the area.
South Claiborne Volunteer Fire Department, Claiborne County EMS, Claiborne Sheriff's Department, and Tennessee Highway Patrol are all on scene and we hope to have more on this incident shortly.
