Just after 2:30 on Monday September 28, 2020 Bell County Coroner Steve Robinson told WRIL that the individual is 49 year old John Winkle of Middlesboro.

Saturday, September 28, 2020 - 9:00 am Update - Middlesboro Police tell us that it appears the person died from natural causes and no foul play is suspected. The identity of the individual is not being released until the next of kin can be notified.
At 1:45am Saturday morning - We have learned that Middlesboro Police are responding to a report of a deceased individual found near a bridge on north 25th street and Yellow Creek on Yellow Avenue. Bell County Deputy Coroner Steve Robinson has also responded to the scene to investigate.
